If you're a fan of Tyra Banks, host of "America's Next Top Model" and "The Tyra Banks Show," you've probably noticed that the former supermodel has been packing on the pounds lately. On last week's episode of "Top Model," the previously svelte Banks was looking particularly plump in a strapless mini-dress. And executives at the CW network have noticed Tyra's weight gain as well. According to MediaTakeOut.com, they're worried Tyra's fuller figure may affect "Top Model's" ratings and have told her to lose weight ASAP.
A producer for the CW told MediaTakeOut.com, "Tyra still looks good, but she's put on close to 50 pounds since starting her talk show…things are really getting out of control. I mean, she doesn't have the greatest personality, so if she starts getting too heavy, it could be a real problem for the show."
Tyra's weight has become such an issue with "Top Model" bosses that they have insisted that promotional pictures of the former model for the current season of the show be photoshopped, says MediaTakeOut.com. The site's source said, "When you see [Tyra] next to the girls on the show, you realize how much weight she's put on…it's almost ridiculous." The decision of the "Top Model" execs goes against Banks's recent declaration that she would not alter her photographs.
Tyra will have to act fast to lose the extra pounds if she hopes to continue as the host of "Top Model." The insider tells MediaTakeOut.com that if Banks does not manage to get back to her old figure, she could be replaced for the next season.
Wow. Is all I'm going to say about that. I'd love to know your thoughts though...
In other random Tyra Banks news, she has recently developed a severe and unexplainable crush on the rapper Chingy. Yes, Chingy. C+D has the story.

Are you still downing untold numbers of Diet Coke every day? Oh wait, hold on... yeah, that's me. Well I don't down untold numbers of Diet Coke, I do enjoy them on occasion, with lemon, because I like to make my drinks classy. And yes, I am aware that Diet Coke is a bit more addictive than regular Coke. But, hey! I'm about to make a positive change! Water! Water has long been attributed to healthy hair, skin and nails. And most of us could probably stand to drink more of the stuff. And I was absolutely mortified when I read in a couple recent health reports that people don't even realize it, but they actually drink the majority of their fat calories (sodas, whole milk lattes, even fruit juices!). Wow. So how pleased was I to see so many fun choices in the H2O dept. Yay! Because sometimes, the plain stuff, just won't cut it. So next time you are in a store, try out one of these instead of your regular, maybe-not-as-healthy drink choices. My personal fave, not shown above, is Vitamin Water. Shouts out to them too because they sent me a nice letter in the mail and a Vitamin Water hat for my birthday (Vitamin Water was on my birthday list). Descriptions of the water and where you can get them are below:
Voss Artesian Water With its sleek glass bottle and über-pure contents (thanks to a natural extraction process that prevents exposure to air and other pollutants), is available in still and sparkling versions. Price: $30 for 12 800-ml bottles; $36 for 24 375-ml bottles. www.vosswaterstore.com.

Price: $46 for 24 500-ml bottles. www.metromint.com.
Hint Essence Water Experiencing difficulty downing the recommended eight glasses of water a day? This purified eau—laced with appetizing natural flavors like pear, apple, and cucumber— makes the task infinitely more appealing.Price: $44 for 24 444-ml bottles. www.drinkhint.com.

Surprise! I happen to be into this trend. Huge shocker, right? Because what trend am I NOT into??? But seriously, I don't like EVERYTHING that's "in" at the moment, but I do like this classic red lip. And c'mon! Every woman NEEDS a killer red lipstick! And the Fall/Winter Holiday season is the perfect time to experiment with this classic look. It's instant glamour in a tube! But I know some of you are still saying, "I can't wear red lipstick, I'll look like a DRAG QUEEN!" Well let me tell you, the trick to pulling this look off is to (1) find the right red color for your skintone, and (2) to NOT overdo the rest of your makeup or you WILL run the risk of looking OVERDONE. So, when opting to wear red, downplay the rest of your makeup, a simple eyeliner with mascara and a little pressed powder, is really all you need to complement this look, because a red lip is bold all on its own. Now that I've done all I can to convince you, I still wanna know what you think. Do you like this look? Hate it? Don't care? Would you rock it? I wanna know your style verdict.

Who will win? Will Jeffrey be eliminated? Is Laura one of the JUDGES on the show or a CONTESTANT? She seems to think she's BOTH. Well, tonight is the finale of Project Runway and I for one can't wait to see what drama will unfold. The Laura vs. Jeffrey situation had me thrown off a bit. I was never a fan of Jeffrey, but after reading some of the comments on a previous Project Runway post, I must say, some of the Jeffrey fans made some real valid points on his behalf. I have to say, observing Laura on last week's episode... something just didn't feel right to me about how she chose to "handle things". Now if Jeffrey cheated, ok, that's NOT GOOD. Anybody who would take liberties to gain an unfair advantage in a competition should suffer the consequences of said actions. I sounded like such a "legal professional" right there didn't I? But at the same time, Laura, you are not the flippin' "HALL MONITOR" on the show! What she did, calling Jeffrey out with no real proof REEKED of jealousy and fear. Not a good look AT ALL. Just Do YOU! Stop worrying about what other people are doing! Everybody would have been soooo much better off if they had stuck to that. And the cheating, if there was any, would have revealed itself IMO. But I guess we'll see what happens tonight.
Can't wait until tonight? Wanna see a quick sneak preview of tonight's finale episode? Click here.

We traveled mostly by train and we must have walked another 211,000 miles while we were there (we walked A LOT). I had specific things on my list of things to see and do, and we did just about all of them...
1. Visit Mood Fabric in New York's Fashion/Garment District where the Project Runway Designers bought all their fabric for the show. This place was on 37th and it was also on the 2nd floor of a building, wasn't expecting that one... but it was a true sewer's eutopia...
2. Visit the Metropolitan Museum of Art (The Met) on 5th Ave. The view from the rooftop of the Met on a clear day was truly something to see. There was also a Hurricane Katrina Exhibit there that we didn't know about, so being from Louisiana, we HAD to see that.
3. Visit Museum of Modern Art (MoMA) on 53rd St. This place would make for a nice intellectual "date night" and we got in FREE! Target sponsors tickets there on Fridays between 4-8 pm (free Target Fridays)... we had fun there...
4. Visit Madame Tussaud's in Time Square (42nd St.) I took a pic with Princess Diana (loved her) Prince, George Clooney & Shakira...
5. Find Magnolia Bakery in the West Village on Bleecker (famous for their cupcakes and seen on Sex and the City and SNL) You can literally smell them as you approach the bakery... when we got there the line was wrapped AROUND THE BUILDING. For cupcakes!
6. Eat at Mr. Chow on my birthday (on 57th)
7. Hit up some local spots! Visited Carol's Daughter in Harlem on 125th St. [Thanks Nichelle!] bought the Healthy Hair Butter. Love it. My hair loves it. This stuff is completely yum. Also visited Pieces (of Harlem), a cute little clothing boutique on 135th [Thanks random chick from the Hip Hop Exhibit] bought a cool little tee there...
8. Pop into H&M, this is a MUST for me everytime I'm there (checked out 2 H&M's on 59th and Lexington and 51st and 5th, both were down the street from our hotel as we stayed at 51st and Lex. Bought 2 cute cotton tops from there).
9. Katz Deli (on Houston) This one my husband put on the list, but I must say, they absolutely know what to do do with a Philly Cheese Steak. I could eat another one right now.
10. Central Park. We walked past the "sheep meadow" and there was a "My Dog Loves Central Park" Fair going on the day we were there. Such a lovely scene, Central Park, its a beautiful oasis (and its massive!) in the midst of so much concrete. Wonderful...
Pic we took in Central Park
All in all, we had a ball!

Yay! My birthday's finally here! I've been getting cool gifts off my list! And guess what else? I'm going on a fun trip to one of my Top 5! #2 on that list to be exact... fun. And, shots out to Mahogany Girl, it's because of one of her blog posts, that I'll be attending a VIP reception at a Hip Hop Museum Opening! On my birthday! Blogging is definitely the new way to get information, that's for sure. We only decided to go like 2 days ago, so I've been running around like a mad person trying to get things straight before we leave. So since I was leaving, I didn't want to go without leaving a fun post, so to celebrate my birthday today, I wanted to show folks exactly what 35 looked like, just in case you didn't know. So following are a list of celebs that were born the same year as me... FABULOUS. I'll be back on Monday so I hope you'll visit some of other the blogs on my link list. Enjoy!
