64th Annual Golden Globe Winners... My Short List.

Yes, this is the short list of winners for the 2007 Golden Globes, as these are the wins that I cared most about, so here we go... The film Dreamgirls won (yay!) for "Best Motion Picture: Musical or Comedy" and as you can see, Beyonce seemed to think that the Dreamgirls film set cameras were still rolling... This pic is too hilarious to me! As for the dress and extra long hair... meh. The over the top "Vogue Posing" is probably biasing my opinion.

Salma Hayek was one of the winners for Ugly Betty (yay!) which won for "Best Television Series: Musical or Comedy" as she serves as one of the shows Executive Producers. I thought Salma looked nice, and she seemed to be sporting a bit of a fuller figure at the Globes.

Grey's Anatomy won for "Best Television Series: Drama" so Shonda Rhimes, who is the writer and creator of Grey's was also a winner (yay!). I think I liked the "idea" of Shonda's dress more than I liked the actual dress.

Meryl Streep ("The Devil Wears Prada" - Comedy- yay!) and Helen Mirren ("The Queen" - Drama) both won Best Actress nods.

America Ferrera won (yay!) for "Best Actress in a Television Series: Musical or Comedy" for her breakout role in Ugly Betty. I liked America in this custom made for her purple Brian Reyes number.

Jennifer Hudson won (woo! yay!) for "Best Performance by an Actress in a Supporting Role in a Motion Picture" for Dreamgirls and that category title is too ridiculous long by the way... but yay! For my girl J. Hud! And she looked fabulous too!

Eddie Murphy surprised me with his win for "Best Performance by an Actor in a Supporting Role in a Motion Picture" for Dreamgirls, but I was glad for him. As for Eddie and Tracey together... it's still a little too fresh for me.. need more time to process.

Until next time ya'll!

I loved J.Lo's dress. It didn't look amazing on camera until she came out to present the award. Then it looked fabulous.

And please speak on Vanessa Williams' hairstyle. She was trying way too hard.

Congrats to Jennifer! Her speech was great & she looked good.

You know Babyface is in a corner with his guitar somewhere, doing a suicide remix of "My Girl Wants to Party All The Time"

Go JHud! Okay, as a avid fan of "House", I had no idea that the demented lead actor was not American (British?). I sooo expected him to walk with a limp and say something crass. Man, he's a great actor.

Yeah that Eddie/Tracey thing was a little to fresh for me too...

ROFL @ you nitabita.... have you considered late night stand-up as a night job?...

I actually loved Beyonce's over the top posing. lol...but I guess that's because I too can be a little over the top. Salma Hayek is beautiful as always, love the white dress on her. I don't like anything about the idea behind Shonda Rimes dress. Jennifer Hudson seems to be stepping her fashion game up.

And

am I the only one that was hopping Eddie Murhphy would have must out with "Jimmy won a globe" when he accepted his award. Oh well, so much for wishful thinking.

Blogger Keli said ... (12:33 AM) :

and Nita, I am done. Maybe we can download a copy of that remix on Limewire. lol

Blogger Chanel said ... (10:52 AM) :

Ha! Yes indeed Keli! Had Eddie broke out into "Jimmy Won a Globe"... well, that would have just been too funny!

Be on the lookout for the straight to YouTube video for "Whipappeal: The Jimmy Got Soul Remix" Insiders say Tracey E., Scorched Cinnamon Spice, Nicole, Tomi Rae Brown, and the tranny Eddie got caught with will all make guest appearances as the glamorous dancers in the video. Can't wait to see it!

I smell an E!True Hollywood Story coming real soon...or a Lifetime movie if this baby thing goes bad. Jimmy got a whole lot more than soul...

LOL at Beyonce. I guess Sasha came out and Beyonce was left at home...
