Style Verdict: Bright Satin Dresses

Bright satin can be your best friend, or it can be your worst enemy. Satin, if worn as a form-fitted look has the tendency to show every bulge and bump, it can be pretty unforgiving even on the thinnest person, if not worn properly. But if you wear it with the right gear underneath, it can be a definite head turner. It's not the best look for fading into the background though, bright satin has more of an "I'm not afraid of the spotlight. Not even a little bit." kind of vibe. I wasn't even the biggest fan of bright satin until I bought that red dress. It's not too hard to get used to the reaction you get. Believe that, lol! But that's me, what are your thoughts on the the bright satin dress trend? Do you love it? Hate it? Don't care? Would you wear it? I wanna know your style verdict.

Actually, ITA with everything you said. I'll leave it at that. Well said. :-)

Hope the trip was FANTABULOUS. Where are the pics???!

Back to this post; it looks like you did a great job of finding people who wore the satin well.

I wore a satin strapless red minidress from Cache to my senior prom (dang near 10 years ago) I wouldn't do it now though... but I was prom queen then!! ;)

I'm so glad Satin is back, although I like the lighter colors for spring. Here's a great dress at at bluefly which would work for a more formal occasion
