Looks From Versace's Fall 2007 Collection

There were so many pieces from Versace's A/W collection that were beautifully wearable for the 2007 fall season. There were lots of blacks, greys, whites, and fabulously, luxurious bright colored pieces. Nice.

Juicy Inspiration...

When I first saw pics of Jennifer Lopez and Kelly Ripa in this yellow Juicy Couture mini dress, I thought it was the cutest! And as most of you already know, I'm a huge fan of all things "cute". Chances are, if it's cute, then I'm probably already in love with it. I liked the bright yellow color of the Juicy Couture dress, the length and the fit, all of which inspired me to create my own, with pockets! And as most of you already know, I love pockets.

I did a total of 3 do-overs (or 3 seam-ripping sessions) of this dress before I finished it because I'm notorious for not taking my time and skipping steps when I sew. Thinking back on it, that's ridiculous... I'll learn one day (probably won't). But that being said, I'm super pleased with it, I've already worn it out twice, once out to dinner with my husband (where I got lots of compliments on it..) and another time just out running errands. It's fun to wear! Some of you may not be used to wearing such bright color, but I'm here to encourage you to try it! Embrace it! Bright color lifts your whole mood! Need a few pointers on how to pull off the look? Fabsugar recently had some great tips on how to harness bright color and wear it well. Check it out when you have a chance!

More Trends For Fall...

I particularly liked this video because it addressed a couple ridiculous fashion myths, like whether or not it's ok to wear white after Labor Day (This one is super ancient), and if it's possible to wear black with brown and black with navy among others. Insightful.

Wow. Paris Hilton Launching A Clothing Line?

Hilton Creates Frenzy With Clothing Line

LOS ANGELES -- Paris Hilton continues to expand her empire. The heiress, author, singer, perfume designer and reality-TV star unveiled her namesake clothing line Thursday at Kitson, a trendy boutique known for its celebrity clientele.

"It's a dream come true to have my own clothing line," she said. "It's just Paris style: fun, bright and flashy."

The collection, which Hilton described as "really comfortable" and "really affordable," includes shoes, T-shirts and jeans. Hilton said she spent a year submitting and approving designs.

"It's just from my closet to their closets," she said. "I'm just excited about it and everyone really loves it."

Additional pieces will be released next month, she said.

Cute For Fall: Bargain Belted Cuteness

Who doesn't appreciate a cutesy fall jacket?! And finding one at a bargain? I'm sooo there. These belted jackets are cute to wear with jeans and heels (or flats!) for a polished casual look or dress them up with a cute dress or pencil skirt. Nice.

Target's Navy Merona Stand Up Neck Anorak Jacket (only $14.99!)
Windsor Clothing's Red & White Diamond Print Trench ($42.75)
Forever 21's Wool Blend Herringbone Blazer ($32.80 & machine washable!)

Kicking Age In The Face...

Looking good...

Cute For Fall

Even though it's been 100 degrees and above here where I live for the last 10 days (that's ridiculously hot), I'm still gonna kick off my "Cute For Fall" series. It's my window shopping series where I showcase the things that I think are super cute for the upcoming fall season. First off, this Mike & Chris Graham Jacket ($196). While it's not the most bargain piece, the "cute" quotient for this jacket is very high. It's not too heavy and not too light, it's just right for a transitional fall weather season. And it's machine washable! Fabulous.

Nice! Sweet Louboutin Redemption

How special are these shoes? Oh so special if you ask me. This pair of Louboutin Maryjanes is so fabulous, they almost make you forget about this extra weird pair he designed. And at a mere $730, the Louboutin Maryjanes are a huge bargain too, lol! I certainly wouldn't complain if someone gifted me a pair. Or even this pair. Or both. Yeah.. definitely both. I wouldn't mind that one bit...

Size 7 - 7.5. You know... just in case.

Meet Charles Manning, Stylist. He says he recently started wearing really short shorts because it's too hot out. He also says people should wear what they wanna wear, and while I don't disagree with him there, I still think it would be a bit weird to see a man out and about in extra short shorts. Style Verdict: Black Shirtdresses

Shirtdresses are EVERYWHERE it seems this season! And I'm loving the look myself. Especially in black. I recently posted on The Gap's version of the shirtdress, then Amerie was spotted out wearing one in blue. Then over the weekend, I purchased the black belted, pocketed (yay! pockets!) SJP one from Steve & Barry... super cute on too by the way, and at only $19.98, I was waaay cool with the price. And finally, I spot these three chicks (above) with them on (coincidentally in black) which led me to believe that they're everywhere now! So now I wanna know what you guys think about the trend. Do you love it? Hate it? Don't care? Would you wear it? I wanna know your style verdict.

WholesomeWear SWIMWEAR

Woooow. Ok, anybody that reads this blog on the regular, or even occasionally knows that I pretty much always speak my mind on style trends.. good or bad, I'm gonna tell it. But see, this right here? This right here is too much for me.

WholesomeWear is a modest line of clothing for "wherever". Our waterwear is the first to be introduced because the need for modesty in swimwear is greatest and the supply is almost non-existent. Swimwear that "highlights the face, rather than the body" includes an undergarment with bright colors at the neck and shoulders to draw the eye to the face. The spandex undergarment fits like a bodysuit, while the loose fitting Taslan outer garment limits cling and adds modesty and style. A single zipper unites both garments for swimming ease. WholesomeWear offers many color combinations to our three styles of swimwear.

Style Verdict: Peep Toe Boots

Yes. Peep toe boots... boots with a "peep toe". And with the fall season approaching, I think that we're gonna be seeing a lot more of this type of thing. I probably need to study this trend a little more to understand it more fully, because right now, I don't. But what do ya'll think? Do you like it? Hate it? Don't care? Would YOU wear it? I wanna know your style verdict.

Paris Hilton To Launch A Shoe Line

Paris Hilton is working extra hard to remain relevant...

The hotel heiress with the famously big feet who is often photographed wearing Jimmy Choo or Christian Louboutin shoes, is getting a footwear line of her own.

Paris Hilton, who wears a size 11 shoe, will launch Paris Hilton Footwear thanks to a licensing agreement she just signed with Antebi Footwear Group. It will hit stores early next year.

"My goal is to create a stylish and fun fashion line from head to toe," said Hilton in a statement. Though no specific details have been given as to what the shoes will look like yet, Antebi produces trendy shoes sold at retailers like Nordstrom. The collection will feature everything from stilettos to platforms to flats to wedges. In other words, something for everyone.

The Fashionista Diaries: Did You Watch?

Loving this new show. Not loving this new show. First, what I liked about The Fashionista Diaries. I like Janjay, Andrew and Nicole, even though Nicole flaked out a bit by the end of the first episode (she's the greenest one), I'm still rooting for her, Janjay and Andrew. I wasn't really feeling Rachel, Tina and I especially wasn't feeling Bridget. The other thing I didn't like about the show, and part of it is just a reality of the fashion industry itself, and that's the fact that some fashion people can be some of the rudest, cattiest, "know-it-all" type personalities on the planet. But it is what it is I guess. The show follows 6 interns in the fashion, beauty and public relations/publishing industries as they compete for their "dream" fashion job, and I have to say, even with the rudeness, I'm officially intrigued by this new show (there's a lot of that same "rudeness" on the MTV show "The Hills" and I can't get enough of that show, lol!). I for one am gonna keep watching. So did ya'll watch? What did ya'll think?
