My New Love Affair With Scarves...

You know, I can't really pinpoint exactly when I started wearing scarves on the regular. Or when I started to buy them in every possible color out of control. But I do know this. I love, love, lovity, love scarves! And I purchased 2 additional ones recently while in Los Angeles for Fashion Week. I now have striped ones, plaid ones, floral ones, wool ones, linen ones and many solid colored ones.. brown, white, powder blue, hot pink, pale yellow and a summer green one with a delicate platinum stripe that I wore the other day with a casual t-shirt and jeans. I wear them dressed up, and I wear them dressed down. It's a fabulous casual, chic look. Particularly when you're wearing a neutral color palette, say black, beige or white, a scarf in a colorful solid or print can give you that perfect pop of color! Or if you're cold-natured, it's a great accessory to have on hand.  But don't let my enthusiasm for scarves sway you, I wanna know what you think about the scarf trend. Do you like it? Hate it? Don't care? Would you wear it? I wanna know your style verdict.

I have a small sprinkling of winter scarves, but I guess I'm not hip enough to incorporate into a casual look.

I see Hollywood folk rockin the look though. I don't love it yet, but I don't hate it either.

I've recently become addicted to them too! I think it all started with this great Missoni scarf I got this winter. Now I want to wear them all the time!

Hey Serendipity! I found a great youtube clip for you to check out on a few different ways to wear your scarves. Check it here.

Also check out a post done by Couture in the City on How to wear a scarf like a celebrity.

Hope these help!

I think there is definitely an art to wearing scarves, and not everyone possesses it. I’ve seen women whose attempts to carry off a scarf look vaguely like they’re trying to strangle themselves…slowly. But if you have the knack for wrapping them elegantly, they make great accessories, and can really punch up a low-key look. They’re also a little bit “safer” way to try out different trends in color and pattern, without committing to it for the entire day or your entire outfit.

Love scarves! I'm wearing one right now! I think I jumped on board with scarves after living with my European roommate (who always looks adorable) so chic!
I live in Manhattan so I get some of my scarves from the street vendors, but 90% I get from www.shopthelook.net. They're constantly changing and updating their inventory, great scarves from India, China, etc. Affordable, good quality.
Use coupon code VP08PREVIEW and save 30% on your entire order of fashion jewelry, scarves, and hair accessories. Free shipping over order of $50.
Enjoy! Ciao!
