Pics From the 2008 Costume Institute Gala...

Below are just a few pics from the 2008 Costume Institute Gala held at the Met in NYC on 5/5/08.  The theme was "Superheroes: Fashion and Fantasy" and you can definitely see that some celebs took the theme of the evening into account when choosing what they wore... The Lights. Beyonce (in Armani Prive) and Naomi Watts (in Thierry Mugler)...  Is this Beyonce's 1st red carpet since her wedding?  And is it just me, or is she [Beyonce] looking extra stiff? All Black. Mary J. (in Michael Kors), Fergie (in Calvin Klein) and Thandie Newton (in CHANEL).  And I have to chime in right here because I am not feeling Mary's look AT ALL.  She is much too fabulous for this sort of mediocrity. Platinum Wear. Model Karolina Kurkova, VOGUE Editor, Anna Wintour (in a one of a kind CHANEL by Karl Lagerfeld), and Hillary Duff (in Elie Saab).  Hillary wins this round IMO. The brights.Katie Holmes (in Armani), Molly Sims, and Kimora Lee Simmons (in Kevan Hall).  The yellow column dress that Molly is sporting is my personal fave.
