Fish Pedicures? WOW.

Am I the only one just a little freaked out by this? Apparently this is a new kind of beauty treatment for your feet where a type of carp fish called garra rufa, or "doctor fish" nibble on on the dead flaking skin on your feet to get them soft and smooth.

Owner of Yvonne Hair and Nails salon in Virginia says, "this is a good treatment for everyone who likes to have nice feet." He said he wanted to come up with something unique while finding a replacement for pedicures that use razors to scrape off dead skin.  Razors have fallen out of favor with state regulators because of concerns about whether they're sanitary.  The salon and nail shop owner is also evaluating a full-body fish treatment that would treat psoriasis and other skin ailments.  Umm, thanks... but, I don't think so.  If you're interested in reading more about it, click here.
