Style Verdict: Keri Hilson...



Singer Keri Hilson made an appearance on MTV's TRL on July 14, but what I wanna know is, what's your verdict on her look?

She looks like she should be wearing rollerskates. This is straight out of the 80's. Maybe that's the look she was going for.

I like the idea of the outfit, but the execution is all wrong. The belt with those shorts is not working for me.

It also looks like something Kelly Rowland would wear. I think she would've rocked it better.

love the color combination but like the others here I feel the execution is off. The belt at the waist with the belt loops on the shorts showing is the most glaring infraction!

The look may have worked if the shorts were properly fitted.

i like the foundation of the outfit [the top and the shorts] but minimalizing the accessories would have taken this outfit from ghetto barbie...to gotta have it babyy.

i love this stripes with the hot pink, the belt is nice too, but what really find is off is the sewed on belt and the loops .she should have put the black belt right through those not over it plus the shorts look to small for her the fishes are not suppose to open so much!!! coulda been good but it's not!!

Like a friend of mine recently said Keri Hilson dresses like a typical Atlanta girl. The overall idea of this outfit is great but it looks like the pieces are of low quality esp the shorts. But her stylist brags about buying dresses to wear to high profile weddings on clearance, so what do you expect.

i get the outfit.

i see what she was going for.

but i agree with kayellejaye said.

in this look, i think she should have chosen shorts that a)didnt have belt loops, b)didnt have pockets, and c) were tailored to fit her better.
