Welcome 2009!

*Scroll down for some BREAKING NEWS*2008 was something, right? 2008 will be remembered as the year of massive bank failures and the extreme idiocy of trying to make Sarah Palin into a serious V.P. Candidate. And because of that, Tina Fey became a superstar. We lost Bernie Mac, Yves Saint Laurent, Paul Newman, Isaac Hayes, Heath Ledger and "Sophia" from "The Golden Girls." Britney Spears made her long awaited comeback. Celebrities were having babies left and right (Halle Berry, Jennifer Lopez, Nicole Richie, Jessica Alba, Angelina Jolie, Usher, Matt Damon, etc.) But perhaps the biggest accomplishment of 2008 is that 2008 was the year that we elected the first black President of these United States, Barack Obama. History Personified. But 2009 is here, and it's time to put the negative things from 2008 behind us and look forward to the hope and change that 2009 will bring. It's a time to set goals and believe and have faith that 2009 is gonna be better for all of us on all fronts. It's also a time to shift gears from holiday season to the upcoming historically charged inaugural season as we embark on swearing in a brand new president on January 20th! Inaugural organizers are said to be in "talks" for Jennifer to sing "The Star Spangled Banner". This is too exciting if it's true. I'm gonna keep my fingers crossed for this one.
