I agree with a lot of people who don't really get why Black History is relegated to one month. Black history is a huge part of American history and really should be recognized as such. However, it is such a beautiful time right now to celebrate Black history when so many Black people are currently making history! Barack Obama, Pittsburgh Steelers young coach, Mike Tomlin, *UPDATED* Eric Holder as the first African American Attorney General, and even though I don't agree with many of his views, Michael Steele was recently elected as the first African American RNC Chair, making history. But none of these people would have even had the opportunity if it hadn't been for the ones that went before. The countless ones who went before us fought hard to make the world a better place for future generations.
