Local Audition News...

Helping the Arts Council of Greater Baton Rouge and the Louisiana Office of Entertainment Industry Development get the word out about some fun sounding local auditions:



DANCE AUDITION National Remake of 70's Nair TV Commercial "Who Wears Short Shorts"

Monday, Dec 21 9:30am-5:00pm, Musicians Union, 2401 Esplanade Ave, New Orleans, LA

They are looking for women of all ethnicities who look 20-28 years old, you should be confident and have great legs, you need to be able to dance freestyle/hip hop, have well-toned bodies and legs, and great skin.

What to wear: Short shorts (they need to see your legs)

What to bring: A current photo of yourself (headshot and body shot if you have one)

PARAMOUNT PICTURES and THE COEN BROS. (No Country For Old Men) are looking for a 14 YEAR OLD GIRL to be the lead of their new feature film, TRUE GRIT! The role is Mattie Ross and would shoot Spring 2010. They are looking for a 12-16 yr. old Caucasian girl who is tough, strong and tells it like it is. They are open to all looks, so come give it a try!

No acting experience is necessary.

Auditions will be held WEDNESDAY, DECEMBER 16th at the RAMADA OF LAFAYETTE, 120 E. Kaliste Saloom Rd. from 3 – 7 pm. Please bring a current picture with you.

CHARACTER DESCRIPTION:
14 year old Mattie is a simple, tough as nails young woman. Her steely
nerves and straightforward manner are a shocking contrast to the way women behaved in the early century. She's possessed of true grit and plenty of determination. Enough so, that she insists on going with 2 marshals to hunt down the killer of her father.
