via HuffPo: J.C. Penney is permanently marking down all of its merchandise by at least 40 percent so shoppers no longer have to wait for sales to get bargains.

Penney said Wednesday that it is getting rid of the hundreds of sales it offers each year in favor of a simpler approach to pricing. Starting on Feb. 1, the retailer is rolling out an "Every Day" pricing strategy with much fewer sales throughout the year.

The plan, the first major move by Apple executive Ron Johnson since he became Penney's CEO in November, is different from Wal-Mart's iconic everyday low pricing. I am a HUGE Heidi Klum fangirl and this is the last thing I expected to read first thing this morning. I'm still hoping it's not true. For the last 7 years, Heidi and Seal have been one of the most in each other's face in love with each other couples out there. They renewed their vows every year, they combined their families (Seal adopted Heidi's daughter Leni from a previous relationship then they had 3 children together) they threw parties together (their Halloween parties were epic), they vacationed together (the most recent was just December last year), they sang together... so what is this even about? They always seemed to have so much fun together and be so in love. I'm telling you, I'm not liking this, not one bit :(

Nia Long and her son Kez Sunday Udoka shopped for baby clothes in L.A. together on Thursday. The Soul Food actress, 41, was all smiles as she held her little boy close. Kez Sunday, born in November, was the first child for Long and Ime Udoka. The actress has a 10-year-old son, Massai, from a previous relationship.

In June, Long revealed that her second pregnancy was completely unplanned. "I was supposed to go to Ghana to do a film and that's when I found out I was pregnant," she told reporters at the BET Awards. "I had a doctor's appointment to get the yellow fever shot and they were like, 'Miss Long, we can't give you a shot.'"

Once doctors informed Long that she was expecting, "I almost fainted. It was the best moment and the sweetest surprise ever."

I'm no stranger to wearing oversized tent dresses and clothes that "appear to be maternity" Part of it is because I tend to gravitate anything that is the opposite of "body con" and the other is because bigger clothes are just more comfy, duh. lol. via Bossip: Supporting cast member Keesha Sharp "Monica" did an interview with Cherry Martinez about how the show ended with no closure and hoping they can make a movie happen. And I vote YES to this:

“Everybody’s talking about it, and I think that would be great…like a Sex in the City. At least give it some kind of closure to a degree and find out what happened to the characters in this past 5 years. We’re all excited about that, everybody’s talking about it, so we’re crossing our fingers and hoping that it happens.”

“All I can say is everybody’s interested, and that’s a start. ‘Cause if Tracee wasn’t interested, or Jill wasn’t interested, or Golden, that would be a problem, but everybody wants it to happen. So we’re just waiting to hear, ‘Hey, we got the money.’ So hopefully, that happens.”

via US Weekly: Soon everyone can afford to dress like Nicole Richie! A source tells the new Us Weekly -- on stands Friday -- that the designer and Fashion Star mentor is currently designing a fashion collection for QVC.

Richie, 30, already has her House of Harlow and Winter Kate lines, but her new, QVC collection reportedly launch in February, coinciding with the premiere of Fashion Star. "The line is cute -- it can be worn by teeny-tiny girls but also goes up to size XXXL," an insider tells Us. "Nicole has a great fashion sense, and she's very hands-on."

My European Looks... What Do You Think?

My outfits on our recent trip to Spain, Italy and France Oct/Nov 2011 - Click to see the pic larger.

We had a great time on our first ever trip to Europe! And I must say, I had fun getting dressed for each city. I tried to look like the city we were visiting or dress for what we would be doing. So here's the rundown left to right. Let me know what you think:

Zigzag knit H&M Dress worn in Naples and Capri, Italy: I purchased this dress four years ago at the H&M on Michigan Avenue in Chicago. We were there to see the Roberto Cavalli for H&M collection the day after it launched only to see SOLD OUT signs when we got there. I purchased this dress from the clearance rack for just $12 bucks. The dress was a cute knit sheath dress when I bought it, but I recently put in an elastic waist for it to fit me a little better (recent weight loss). Sightseeing in Naples and the island of Capri Italy, I felt comfortable all day walking around in this H&M dress and Go Jane boots..

Green Soccer Jacket and Yoga Pants worn in Majorca, Spain: We were riding bikes through Spain this day so I wanted to make sure I was comfortable and appropriately dressed. Majorca, Spain was a beautiful city and the weather was really pretty that day. I can't remember exactly where I purchased the soccer jacket I wore, fitted black yoga pants you can get just about anywhere, the only items I remember where I got them are the green and yellow tank tops. They're from Old Navy.

Tan and Red Ensemble worn in Marseille, France: I hadn't even planned on packing my tan Gap Hat or my tan long sleeved tee (the red Old Navy "Rockstar" jeans (their name, not mine) were always coming along), but I'm glad I did! This has to be my favorite outfit from the trip and it kinda got put together by accident. I'd always planned on wearing the red jeans on this day, I just didn't know what I was wearing with them. I guess you can say the weather that day dictated that look and it just kinda fell into place nicely. The scarf that matched my tee, hat and shoes almost perfectly was $4 bucks from Forever 21. Marseille, France felt authentically French :)

Brown H&M Poncho and denim-look leggings worn in Monte Carlo, Monaco: Monaco was really posh and high-end. With it's jewelry stores (Cartier, Bvlgari, Fred) and luxury goods shops (CHANEL, Louis Vuitton, Lanvin) more Porches and Bentleys than you could count on the streets so I tried to look the part that day. I think I got it right, no? My black scarf was a gift from my cousin Ronda, she bought it in Egypt! Anyhoo, Monaco was really pretty, really historical (we got to see where Grace Kelly (Princess Grace) was buried) and really, really expensive.

Leather look Forever 21 Jacket and Levi's worn in Rome, Italy: This was the last day of our trip and we were TIRED. I think it kinda shows in my demeanor, lol. It took real effort not to throw on the sweats I packed to go out and look at centuries old ruins, but we ended up having a nice day that day that ended in Nutella Gelato. And OMG, yum.

Heavy D Gone Too Soon at Age 44.

via Rolling Stone: Heavy D, the former leader of the hip-hop group Heavy D and the Boyz, has died at the age of 44. The rapper was rushed to a hospital in Los Angeles earlier this afternoon and was pronounced dead at 1 p.m. PT. Police are investigating his death but there are no signs of foul play.

Heavy D, born Dwight Arrington Myers, broke into the music industry with Living Large, his first record with the Boyz, in 1987. He went on to even greater success with the hit "Now That We Found Love" in 1991, and recorded theme songs for the television series In Loving Color and MADtv.Read more HERE.

via WWD: Collaborations in fashion are all the rage these days. That’s why I have a bottle of Evian water that was designed by French fashion house Courrèges on my desk. But I couldn’t help hiccupping at the latest attempt to broaden the audience for a clothing retailer: Banana Republic has designed bottles for Clos du Bois wines—for the holidays.

Billed as the “perfect hostess gift”—and what hostess wouldn’t want a fashion sketch on the wine she serves—the 2010 chardonnay will wear a little black dress designed by Banana Republic creative director Simon Kneen, and will be priced $16.99. The 2008 Cabernet Sauvignon, priced at $18.99, will wear a red full-skirted frock by Mr. Kneen.

Wait! There’s more! Each bottle will come with a code that allows consumers to stream a “custom party soundtrack. Literally a party in a bottle!” the press release says.
